Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Blooper FX Twitch extension and the Blooper FX desktop application (together, the "Service"). By installing, activating, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.What Blooper FX is

Blooper FX lets Twitch viewers use Bits to trigger short visual and audio effects that play on a participating streamer's computer through the Blooper FX desktop app. Streamers choose which effects are available and how many Bits each effect requires. Effects are intended as lighthearted, temporary entertainment and clear on their own.

2.Relationship with Twitch

Blooper FX is a third-party extension built on the Twitch platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Twitch. Your use of Twitch, your Twitch account, and Bits is governed by Twitch's own Terms of Service and policies. Bits are a virtual item provided and managed by Twitch — all Bits balances, transactions, and any refunds are handled solely by Twitch under Twitch's terms. Blooper FX does not process payments and does not issue or control refunds.

3.Eligibility

You must meet Twitch's minimum age and eligibility requirements to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet those requirements and that your use complies with Twitch's terms and all applicable laws.

4.Streamer responsibilities

  • You decide which effects are enabled and what they require in Bits, and you can disable any effect or the entire panel at any time.
  • Effects run on your own computer through the desktop app. You are responsible for running the app in an environment where these effects are safe and appropriate for you.
  • You are responsible for keeping your content and channel compliant with Twitch's rules while using the Service.

5.Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it, or using it to harass, harm, deceive, or violate the rights of others. We may suspend or remove access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms or Twitch's policies.

6.Availability

The Service depends on Twitch, your internet connection, and the desktop app running on your computer. Effects can only be triggered while the app is connected. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it.

7.Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the Service at your own risk.

8.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blooper FX and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Because Bits are managed entirely by Twitch, any dispute regarding Bits should be directed to Twitch.

9.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
